Cybersecurity is vandaag de dag niet meer weg te denken in onze maatschappij. Het is daarom een grote, maar noodzakelijke uitdaging om de juiste security maatregelen te implementeren. Wat is cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity is het beschermen van computers, servers, mobiele apparaten, elektronische systemen, netwerken en gegevens tegen schadelijke aanvallen. Deze cyberaanvallen zijn meestal gericht op het openen, wijzigen en/ of vernietigen van gevoelige informatie, maar ook het afpersen van geld van gebruikers of het platleggen van bedrijfsprocessen.

Cyberdreigingen zijn er verschillende soorten

Cybercriminaliteit, gijzelsoftware, waarbij criminelen alleen of in een bende systemen aanvallen voor financieel gewin of om storingen te veroorzaken.
Cyberaanvallen, die vaak gepaard gaan met politiek gemotiveerde informatieverzameling.
Cyberterrorisme, dat probeert elektronische systemen te ondermijnen om paniek en angst te veroorzaken.
